The Do Lab presents ESKMO, Siren & Sugarpill July 1 in LA

Hot off Lightning in a Bottle and this past week’s Glitch Mob/Free the Robots/Deru show, The Do Lab has just announced another top-notch music event and Hollywood takeover at King King on Thursday July 1 that will feature three of my favorites: Eskmo, Siren & Los Angeles’ own Sugarpill.

ESKMO‘s lush bass music is on high rotation in my house and in my brain, and the “is Eskmo’s music dubstep?” argument flames up on Facebook about once a week. My opinion? Dubstep WISHES it was Eskmo’s music; his unique take on sound design stands alone in this universe. Catch a whiff of Eskmo’s music by listening to his Colorbrain mix for Brainfeeder right here.

SIREN represents Muti Music, one of my favorite labels, and was a special guest performer at the show “Slippery” that I help throw in Miami during WMC; in my humble opinion we had some of the best music of the week and he was a definite contributor. His recent release “Jingletown” was inspired by the south Oakland ghetto neighborhood of the same name and Siren has been touted next to such names as Kraddy, Mimosa and Marty Party. Listen to his new fire here.

SUGARPILL is a fellow blogger, Glitch.FM DJ and all-around bad ass producer; one of my favorite mixes of his is Whompsticle which I continue to rock on a weekly basis. Catch his Sugarcast on Glitch.FM Thursday nights from 8-10PM.

SOLID lineup, and perhaps my favorite that The Do Lab has put forth yet. Come destroy Hollywood with us at the King King on Thursday July 1; buy tickets here or for more information and to RSVP, visit the Facebook event page here.
