Check out new music from Seattle artist Subaqueous off the new album Immerge on music blog You’ll Soon Know. Lead single “Gypsy Splash” cloaks a thick, soothing jam with multiple layers and quickly turns bizarre, emerging through fun sonic chunks with a mysterious melody that leaves you wandering – music for modern day nomads.

Ambient music lovers can take heart that Grouper – the project of Portland musician Liz Harris is back, with a new album released last month. GUEST BLOGGER - GRACE LEHMAN
The Caretaker – brainchild (in every sense of the word) of electronic musician James Leyland Kirby and is one of the most innovative and exciting electronic sounds of recent years. His music not only encompasses the most cutting edge of technology but in his recent album “An Empty Bliss Beyond This World” he’s managed to meld the 21st century with the beautiful crackle of the beginning of the last century too. One of my favorite producers and live performers MiM0SA drops his first official album Sanctuary tomorrow on the new label False Idol Musik. From dubbed-out gut rumblers to twitchy dance numbers with faster tempos and the sexy, silky West Coast dubstep that MiM0SA is known for, this album does not disappoint.
Check out the title track “Sanctuary” below, and find MiM0SA’s fall tour dates after the jump:
Mochipet drops a new album CHICXULUB next Tuesday August 16 on STS9′s 1320 Records, a melody-driven romp through a dinosaur dreamworld whose fun energy will be welcomed on dance floors all over – and good thing, because Mochipet sets off on a tour throughout the US in September, beginning with the Burn.
XLR8R has posted the first single off the album for free download, “Yoshi’s Dinosaur Egg Hunt,” calling it “an energetic slice of epic beat work that matches videogame-style arpeggiators (check the title) along with an over-powering breakbeat and a healthy dose of low-end rumble.”
Mochipet Tour Dates:
09/01 – 09/04 Black Rock City NV@ Burning Man
09/08 THU – Asheville NC @ The One Stop
09/09 FRI – Atlanta GA @ Apache Café
09/10 SAT – Charleston SC @ Charleston Pour House

Capturing the wild-eyed vibe of a Bassnectar live show in one of the most beautiful venues on earth, this video from Red Rocks just may convince you to take another look and another listen of the #2 selling electronic artist today.

Los Angeles-based R/D harnesses the heavy energy of the West Coast in his new full-length album Liquid Heart Keeper, which combines the deep emotion of indie rock with the invigorating movement of electronic beats. Born out of electro, rinsed in IDM and blown dry with glitch hop, R/D’s newest music goes beyond the confines of genre to make dance floors fly with stirring melodies, sweeping build-ups and massive drops. The primal sounds and playful style of Mr. Rogers have long captivated the West Coast underground arts community, but now the secret is out and this pioneering producer is poised to conquer the far reaches of the dance floor with his twisted, psychedelic take on bass-heavy midtempo and glitch-ridden breaks. Kraddy has a new EP called Labyrinth coming out November 9 on Alpha Pup Records; if this new endeavor sounds intentionally hard, heavier and aggressive, that’s because it is. Describing his sound as “Zeppelin 3000,” Kraddy unites the hard edge of rock with the infinite possibilities of electronic music, and the result is an album that gives it. And God knows the people want it. Continue reading
